is looking for an experienced
General Manager
to join our dynamic team. The General Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Location and its daily procedures. This position plans, directs and controls all activities of the assigned location/profit center through department managers.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for ensuring dealership is properly staffed with qualified department leaders.
Establish major objectives, plans and programs for daily operations.
Aids department managers in the development of their performance targets, programs and plans in accordance with TLG goals and objectives.
Evaluate each department's operating results and performance against predetermined objectives.
Consult with department managers and Human Resources regarding personnel decisions.
Assist department managers with major, target or critical accounts.
Establish short and long-term operating and financial objectives for assigned location, within the Company's overall plans and policies.
Ensures that approved policies and objectives are clearly understood and effectively applied throughout the assigned dealership.
Ensures department managers stay up to date with employee reviews.
Responsible for the proper retention of qualified employees, and ensures departments are adequately staffed.
Formulates annual and monthly business plan, sales/profit objectives and expense budgets with department managers.
Develop merchandising strategies with the department managers.
Supervises the direct sale of trucks, parts, service, and body repairs.
Ensures the dealership is in compliance with local, state and federal government regulations.
Maintain appropriate communications within and between various department and functional areas within the dealership, and hold individual conferences as required.
Responsible for cleanliness and the organization of building and lot.
Establishes and maintains satisfactory customer and public relations.
Acts as the final arbitrator between customers and department managers when need arises.
Qualifications:
At least 3 years of experience operating an automotive or heavy equipment dealership is required.
A college degree in business management is strongly preferred.
