Position Overview We are seeking an experienced and proactive Manager to join our newly established Service Vertical. This role sits within Starr’s Operations department which reports to Starr’s Head of Operations. This role is crucial in overseeing the execution of our service delivery model and ensuring alignment with Starr's strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and process skills, the ability to foster collaboration, and a keen eye for service delivery.
Job Responsibilities
Responsible for Starr’s Service Delivery
Work with Loss Control, ASM, and TPA Oversight leaders to deliver excellent service to Starr’s casualty clients
Efficiently distribute service resources across Starr’s U.S casualty portfolio
Act as point of escalation for service issues experienced by internal and external stakeholders
Build Governance Around Starr Service Delivery
Formulate consistent service delivery process (e.g timing of claim file reviews, kickoff meeting agendas, etc.) for Starr’s clients
Put metrics and KPIs in place to measure Starr’s service performance
Promote Culture of Exceptional Client Service
Organize regular trainings for service function employees
Structure incentives to motivate Starr employees to adapt a service-first mindset
Establish formal mechanism to collect feedback on Starr service across the post-bind policy lifecycle
Market Starr’s Service Capabilities
Work with profit center management to help underwriters promote Starr’s service offerings to key existing and potential clients
Attend important client meetings (e.g kickoff meetings, stewardship meetings) if requested

Experienced leader at a market-leading casualty insurer who has previously held leadership roles in either Claims, Account Management, or Loss Control
15+ years experience in the large commercial account casualty segment
Previous managerial experience required
Experience driving organizational change
Experienced in data-driven decision making
For individuals assigned and/or hired to work in New York, Starr Insurance Companies is required by law to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $130,000-$225,000.
