Senior Director, Supply Chain

Position Summary
The Sr Director of Supply Chain will be responsible for transforming and revitalizing the supply chain vision and strategy, including continuous improvement in processes and systems to help deliver world-class performance.
Oversees and manages all supply chain and logistics functions, such as material procurement, production planning, inventory control, outsourcing, vendor selection and distribution. Creates integrated processes among internal functions (e.g., operations, purchasing and logistics) and outside suppliers.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic supply chain initiatives aligned with overall business objectives.
Oversee end-to-end supply chain operations, including demand planning, procurement, inventory management, warehouse management, production scheduling, kitting, and logistics.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring a reliable and high-quality supply of materials and components.
Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, delivery performance, cost, and other relevant factors, while negotiating favorable terms and contracts.
Monitor supplier performance through key performance indicators (KPIs) and deploy dashboard.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize supply chain processes, reduce lead times, minimize inventory levels, and increase operational efficiency.
Implement effective forecasting and demand planning methods to ensure accurate inventory levels and support production schedules.
Work closely with production and engineering teams to coordinate new product introductions and ensure smooth transitions.
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to establish and maintain rigorous quality standards throughout the supply chain.
Work with business and functional leaders to develop operational breakthroughs in performance by leveraging industry best practices, key innovations, and other methods to accelerate current performance.
Deploy supply chain resiliency and supply chain risk management processes across the enterprise to address challenges in sourcing.
Consolidate supply chain spend and leverage scale to achieve favorable T&C’s.
Stay informed about industry trends, regulations, and emerging technologies related to supply chain management, and proactively recommend and implement best practices.
Develop and manage the supply chain budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Assess the need for material-handling equipment and staffing; make recommendations to ensure efficient loading, unloading, movement, and storage of materials.
Build and coach a staff who are sufficient and qualified to successfully perform all assigned duties. Utilize best management practices in accordance with Human Resources.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's and/or MS degree in Engineering, Supply Chain or Business Management with 10 years of supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment.
Prior leadership experience executing government/commercial contracting environment.
Proven track record in driving excellence and establishing improvement programs, policies, and best practices.
Experience with electronics, vehicle manufacturing, medical device industry (OEM and ODM-Original Design Manufacturer) is preferred.
Professional certificate in Supply Chain is preferred: CPSM, CPSD, CPIM, CSCP, CLTS or CIPS level/s.
Demonstrated track record of success in manufacturing-oriented, multi-national, and multi-divisional environment.
Experience overseeing procurement, subcontracts, materials, category management, and supply chain teams.
Knowledge of advanced supply chain methods, processes, and tools to achieve best-in-class performance.
Proven track record working with stakeholders, suppliers, and customer representatives to ensure improved productivity across the entire value chain.
Knowledge of supply chain strategies in production and development situations across a wide variety of commodities / technologies.
Demonstrated experience with highly complex contractual instruments that comply with federal, state, Federal Acquisition Requirements/DFARS, and local laws preferred.
Understanding & experience in Zero based costing, TCO analysis, experience with ERP (NetSuite, Infor).
Well versed & working experience with S2C, SRM tools/business systems (Ariba, Coupa, SRM).
Excellent communication (Verbal & written) and interpersonal skills.
Project Management Skills (PMI certification is an added advantage).
