Royal Caribbean Group's Entertainment team has an exciting career opportunity for a full-time Specialist, Entertainment Scheduler Youth reporting to the Manager, Adventure Ocean & Family Fleet Operations.

Position Summary

Plan, manage and schedule contract assignments for shipboard Entertainment & Activities employees totaling over 450 par positions including but not limited to: Youth Staff, Youth Staff Seasonal, Youth Staff - Theater, Youth Staff - Nursery, Youth Staff - Teen, Family Activities Host, and Featured Family Activities Host. Support scheduling administration for Adventure Ocean Managers, Adventure Ocean Assistant Managers, and Traveling Adventure Ocean Managers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Communicate with shipboard and shore-side hotel operations to facilitate proper workforce planning, scheduling of planned and unplanned movements, logistics, and succession planning in an optimum manner of the positions listed. In partnership with the HR Recruitment team, monitor the development of Entertainment shipboard staff members to assist with advancement and succession planning. Review staffing par levels to anticipate and prevent shortages and select appropriate replacements within strict timelines. Coordinate with HR, PEME, and Travel departments regarding travel, sign on, sign off, medical, and risk management issues. Ensure there is complete and accurate employee data in the E1 system for assigned departments and/or positions. Submit ECCR and SeaForm requests and monitor approvals for all scheduled positions. Communicate with shipboard management, the Lead, AO Ops, Manager AO Ops, Director AO, Family to identify future Adventure Ocean Manager and Assistant Adventure Ocean Manager candidates. Attend Entertainment Activities conferences, auditions, recruiting events, and conduct ship visits, as needed. Assist with planning logistics of land-based Nursery trainings for all qualified Youth Staff – Nursery candidates. Planning to include: curate staff list and communication, work with Crew travel for lodging, daily transport, and food per diems. Make business decisions on crew movement and effectively communicate decisions to Entertainment Studios, Ships, and Shoreside teams including management with the reality of crew member availability and ship itineraries.

Knowledge and Skills: Ability to solve practical problems, strategic thinking, strong solution selling skills and dealing with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Diplomacy and relationship building skills preferred. Attention to detail, time management, and teamwork are the main components of this role. Excellent interpersonal and written skills. Candidate must possess strong leadership skills, time management skills, and written and oral communication skills and be able to effectively communicate with all senior levels of operational personnel.

Qualifications and Education Bachelor's degree in business administration or related field from an accredited college or university preferred. Three or more years of experience in one or more of the following functions: workforce planning.

Financial Responsibilities Manage scheduling operation within the annual operating budget.
