1. We are offering a contract for a Data Engineer role in SALT LAKE CITY, Utah. The selected individual will focus primarily on backend operations, particularly in AWS, and business intelligence. This role involves extensive work with SQL databases and programmatic languages, predominantly Python. Additionally, the role includes generating reports for various teams using tools like Tableau, Looker, and Power BI, with a particular emphasis on Looker. The role involves more ETL work than visualization, with a 75/25 backend to frontend ratio.

Responsibilities:

• Manage backend operations primarily in AWS, with an emphasis on serverless experiences.

• Apply your SQL database knowledge to various tasks and projects.

• Utilize Python or other programmatic languages to execute tasks efficiently.

• Generate comprehensive reports for finance, sales, procurement, operations, transportation team, and payrolls using Looker, Tableau, and Power BI.

• Leverage your experience with relational databases, preferably with RedShift.

• Perform more ETL work compared to visualization tasks.

• Support visualization platforms and assist business users in building reports and visualizations.

• Proficiency in Data Visualization techniques and tools to effectively present data insights.
• Experience with ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools for data migration and integration.
• Strong coding skills in Python, particularly for data manipulation and analysis.
• Solid understanding and experience with Relational Databases, including design and optimization.
• Familiarity with Looker for creating complex data models and designing dashboards.
• Experience with AWS Technologies for managing and analyzing data in the cloud.
• Proficiency in using Power BI for creating interactive visualizations and business intelligence reports.
