Data SDET Job at ASCENDING in New York

Location: Fully Remote within the US

Overview:
We're seeking a Data-focused SDET with 3-7 years of experience to join our team. This role centers on ensuring the robustness and reliability of data pipelines and software foundations, from inception through deployment. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in data pipeline testing and a strong programming background, particularly in Java or Python.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough testing of SQL-centric applications, ensuring seamless data flow and integrity in large-scale datasets.
• Collaborate closely in the development and deployment phases, focusing on production-quality data pipelines.
• Write, maintain, and improve automated tests, focusing on data pipelines (e.g., Spark, Kafka, Airflow).
• Engage in the full software lifecycle, from concept through software deployment, contributing to data pipeline and machine learning pipeline testing, if applicable.

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Java or Python, with strong SQL skills.
• 3-7 years in a testing role, preferably as a traditional SDET or Quality Engineer with solid programming skills.
• Experience with data pipeline testing (preferred) or relevant ML pipeline testing
