Administrative/Data Assistant
POSITION SUMMARY
The Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) is seeking a Data/Administrative Assistant, that will support business operations by managing and organizing data, maintaining records, preparing reports, and performing various administrative tasks such as scheduling, correspondence, and office coordination.
TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinates general office operations; processing paperwork compiling data and preparing reports
- Acts as first point of contact
- Resolve routine administrative problems by answering inquiries concerning office operations
- Assist support activities (OSP and Title III)
- Performs a wide variety of typing assignments which may be confidential in nature
- Performs various computer operations; provides drafts and edits
- Performs basic clerical duties
- Maintain office schedules
- Process purchase requests for goods and/or services
- Make travel arrangements
- Arrange training workshops; provide agendas; record minutes
- Provide data operations
- Manage database systems
- Provide grant monitoring and alerts
- Assist with grant management and compliance
- Disseminate data reports
- Gather research data
- Manage various budgets
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field required;
- Three to four years of related experience;
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
- Data entry skills;
- Records maintenance skills and ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information;
- Database management skills;
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing; ability to read and interpret grants;
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures;
- Organizing and coordinating skills;
- Skill in the use of operating basic office equipment;
- Ability to create, compose, and edit written materials;
- Ability to maintain calendars and schedule appointments;
- Ability to coordinate training workshops;
- Ability to input data into recording systems;
- Ability to gather and analyze research data

SUPERVISION
- This position reports to the Director of Sponsored Programs
SALARY RANGE
- Up to $43,000 Annually, plus benefits!

Founded in 1875, Huston-Tillotson University is Austin's first institution of higher education.
