Responsibilities
Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their team! The Technical Project Manager reports to the overall Program Manager for a large, multi-workstream transformational Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system engagement consisting of business process redesign, change management, and system implementation, all in a Program Management Office structure. Your role is to manage a team of 4-5 technical resources (IT and GIS resources) to guide and assist in the continued delivery of a functional and growing system to their end client. You will help manage the team’s work, ensuring the work breakdown structure is appropriately organized to allow distribution and delegation of the work, tracking and reporting progress, and acting to get the project back on track when necessary. This Manager should be a high achiever with 10+ years of experience working with clients from the shop floor to the C-suite and can speak to implementing enterprise-scale systems specifically with Cityworks/ESRI ArcGIS EAM systems.
Success depends on the Technical Project Manager's ability to build and maintain strong relationships internally and externally and demonstrate an exceptional command of infrastructure fundamentals and the ability to advise on and deliver innovative solutions.
Project Planning and Management
Develop and maintain the project plan, defining scope, deliverables, timelines, resources, and budgets
Coordinate and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closure
Collaborate with stakeholders (such as city departments, GIS teams, and vendors) to identify project requirements and expectations
Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to address potential project challenges
Regularly report on project status, budget, timeline, and risks to senior management and stakeholders
Ensure adherence to municipal or organizational standards and regulatory requirements
System Design and Implementation
Lead/assist the design and configuration of the Cityworks/ESRI ArcGIS EAM system in collaboration with the IT, GIS, and asset management teams
Oversee the integration of Cityworks / ESRI ArcGIS to ensure accurate spatial data representation of assets
Plan and manage data migration activities, including the conversion and integration of existing asset data into the new system
Coordinate the setup of user roles, permissions, and workflows within Cityworks/ESRI to align with organizational processes
Design and document data standards, system architecture, and integration points to ensure a cohesive system
Data Management and Quality Control
Ensure that GIS and asset data in the EAM system are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with quality standards
Establish data governance policies and maintain data integrity by implementing validation rules and error-checking procedures
Collaborate with GIS specialists to ensure that spatial data is aligned with ESRI ArcGIS and Cityworks requirements
Develop and manage data migration plans, including data cleansing, transformation, and loading
Technical Support and System Maintenance
Develop maintenance and support plans to ensure the reliability and stability of the Cityworks system
Serve as the primary point of contact for technical troubleshooting, support, and escalation for Cityworks and ESRI ArcGIS issues
Monitor system performance, implementing updates, patches, and improvements as necessary
Coordinate with vendors and third-party consultants to resolve complex technical issues and ensure system compatibility with future releases
Gather feedback from users to identify system enhancements and optimize functionality
Stakeholder Communication and Change Management
Serve as a liaison between technical teams, project stakeholders, and end users to communicate project goals, updates, and changes
Contribute to a change management strategy to promote user adoption, including training, support, and continuous feedback
Provide guidance on process improvement opportunities to maximize the benefits of the EAM system
Continuous Improvement and Optimization
Evaluate new features and updates from Cityworks and ESRI ArcGIS to identify opportunities for system enhancements
Analyze system usage and feedback to identify opportunities for improvement, including automation, reporting, and analytics
Work with stakeholders to regularly review workflows and adjust configurations to meet evolving organizational needs
Requirements
10+ years of progressive and relevant experience in IT and GIS infrastructure, software development, and operations is required
5+ years of extensive experience implementing enterprise-scale systems specifically with Cityworks/ESRI ArcGIS EAM systems is required
Consulting and client management skills working with clients from the shop floor to the c-suite
Breadth and depth of experience across physical, virtual, and cloud enterprise scale systems such as EAM, GIS, CRM, and ERP
Function professionally under pressure with a keen sense of urgency, while managing multiple concurrent projects and deadlines under sometimes ambiguous and often complex circumstances
Experience cultivating and leading high-performance teams, creating an innovation culture, and mentoring to develop team members
Comfortable working with employees at all levels of the company; Demonstrates professional tact, good judgment, and discretion
Must be highly articulate, from business and technical perspectives, and able to deliver proposals and presentations to a wide variety of audiences with conviction and passion
Strong analytical and problem-solving skillset
Demonstrates attention to detail, follow-up and has excellent organizational skills
Project planning and project management experience for large scale projects in an enterprise IT environment

Aviation/Airport experience/background is highly desirable
A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, finance, accounting, or related discipline desired
