The Data Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for sourcing, collecting, and maintaining accurate and up-to-date data from various sources to support the business operations and strategic initiatives of our semiconductor distribution business. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of data management practices.
Key Responsibilities

Data Collection and Integration:

  • Identify and evaluate data sources relevant to semiconductor distribution, including suppliers, manufacturers, market research reports, and industry databases.
  • Develop and implement data collection methods to ensure the timely and accurate acquisition of data.
  • Integrate and manage data from multiple sources into the company's data management systems.

Data Quality Assurance:

  • Perform regular data audits to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the collected data.
  • Develop and maintain data quality standards and procedures.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and improve data collection processes.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
  • Analyze acquired data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can inform business decisions.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports and dashboards for various stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with data analysts and business intelligence teams to support advanced data analytics initiatives.
Collaboration and Communication:
  • Work closely with internal departments such as Sales, Marketing, Procurement, and IT to understand data needs and requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with external data providers and industry partners.
  • Provide training and support to team members on data acquisition tools and techniques.
Continuous Improvement:
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in data acquisition and management.
  • Propose and implement improvements to data acquisition processes and tools.
  • Participate in special projects and initiatives related to data management.
Qualifications
Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in data acquisition, data management, or a related field.
  • Experience in the semiconductor industry or distribution business is highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of data acquisition techniques and tools (e.g., web scraping, APIs, ETL processes).
  • Proficiency in database management systems (e.g., SQL, NoSQL) and data integration platforms.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
