About the Job:

As Warehouse Operations Manager, you will be responsible for all operations at our Distribution Center to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to schedule, assessing current employees, hiring and training new employees, identifying inefficiencies and maintaining all workflow protocols and structure. You will have overall accountability for finished product, capacity planning, distribution center and warehouse inventory, and 3PL relations. You will work closely with business operations and sales (to fulfill orders) to purchasing (receipt of goods) and inventory management.

  • Reconfirming a culture of constant improvement
  • Asses current processes and procedures with the goal of improving efficiencies
  • Audit and report inventory
  • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring adherence to workflows and procedures
  • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse
  • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads
  • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees
  • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner
  • Monitoring the quality, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods
  • Identify areas for cost reductions and implement strategies for cost reduction and containment
  • Analyzing data to monitor performance and plan improvements
  • Allocating and managing staff resources according to changing needs
  • Analyzing logistical problems and producing new solutions.
  • Drive strategic reviews and analysis with 3PL's to understand capacity & financial opportunities and risks
  • Ensure the 3PL is managing their Daily Operations in alignment with Sourceability priorities and needs
  • Project management
  • Other duties as assigned by senior management

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy and working under tight time deadlines
  • Strong knowledge in all areas of import / export, regulatory and logistics management
  • Ability to effectively manage material handling staff
  • Knowledge of basic computer applications such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and multiple business applications
  • Experience utilizing an ERP system, preferably NetSuite

Physical Demands

  • Physical strength, stamina and the ability to walk or stand for long periods of time in a distribution environment

Experience

  • 5 -7 years of related work experience
  • Prior experience supervising staff

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
  • OR consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
