About The Role
As the Director/Senior Director of Commercial Finance, you’ll be a key driver behind the brand’s expansion, bringing financial clarity to strategic goals and empowering the leadership team to make informed decisions. Your work will be instrumental in shaping the financial framework that allows this brand to scale sustainably and profitably, making a lasting impact on the future of fashion.
Core Responsibilities
Strategic Partnership: Collaborate with the Chief Commercial Officer to execute mono-brand and multi-brand strategies that fuel growth and profitability.
Financial Planning Leadership: Lead long-range planning, develop robust financial models, and align investments with business goals to drive the brand’s expansion.
Retail Expansion: Create retail store pro-formas, scenario analyses, and evaluate multibrand partnerships, informing negotiations and fostering profitable relationships.
Forecasting & Analysis: Own rolling financial forecasts for revenue, margin, and operating expenses. Partner with commercial leaders to drive accountability and manage performance.
Inventory & Planning: Work closely with the planning team to optimize inventory for multi-brand and mono-brand channels.
Executive Reporting: Prepare and present high-impact financial reviews, providing strategic insights for senior leadership and the Board of Directors.
Process Elevation: Identify and implement process improvements to support sustainable growth, enhancing efficiency and effectiveness.
Ideal Qualifications
Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or Economics. Graduate degree preferred.
Experience: 7-10+ years in Retail Finance, FP&A, or Management Consulting with a deep understanding of the retail industry.
Financial Acumen: Advanced analytical skills, strategic modeling experience, and a problem-solving mindset with a high degree of intellectual curiosity.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to partner across functions, ensuring alignment with strategic financial goals.
Communication Excellence: Executive presence and clear communication, capable of presenting complex financial insights to senior leaders.
