seeks an experienced Section Chief of Heart Failure to lead our program in clinical, administrative, educational, research and quality improvement initiatives. The successful candidate will create and maintain systems that ensure timely, high quality care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will provide oversight and mentorship for Heart Failure providers, work closely with the Cardiology Division Director and Chair of the Department of Medicine to achieve departmental and institutional goals, driving growth and enhancement of Heart Failure programs.

Opportunity Highlights:

Lead the section of Heart Failure including clinical care, quality improvement, medical education and research.

Collaborate with a dynamic network of experienced physicians, specialists, and support staff who foster a culture of collaboration with strong clinical support.

Oversee the clinical practice, scheduling and overall workflow of Heart Failure providers.

Provide exceptional clinical care for Heart Failure patients in both the inpatient and outpatient settings.

Drive growth of regional Heart Failure and Pulmonary Hypertension programs.

Participate in recruitment, onboarding, and performance evaluation of Heart Failure providers, and support multidisciplinary case reviews and rounding.

Facilitate research, clinical trials, and educational programs.

Coordinate the heart failure fellowship and related graduate and undergraduate medical education programs.

Eligibility for faculty appointment to the

Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.

Opportunity Requirements:

M.D. or D.O. from a recognized medical school.

Completion of fellowship training in Cardiology at an accredited US program.

Minimum of five (5) years post-training experience in the care of Heart Failure patients.

Heart Transplant experience preferred.

Significant administrative and quality improvement experience.

High-level communication, interpersonal skills and professionalism.

Ability to develop and drive performance improvement initiatives.

Board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine, Heart Failure and Echocardiography.

Obtain or have the ability to obtain a State of New Jersey Medical License, DEA and CDS.
