Warehouse Assistant - Full-Time
  • Responsible for weekly reporting min max levels
  • Receive and verify accuracy of incoming shipments
  • Pull and distribute materials, tools, or other stock items in order to fill requests
  • Sort and place materials on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code – mark materials with identifying information
  • Assist in tracking and management of equipment
  • Load and unload specific customer equipment on delivery truck
  • Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distributes
  • Maintain clean work environment in the warehouse area
  • Maintain warehouse security at all times
  • Assist Managers at location with compliance support in safety (OSHA,) and injury reporting
  • Maintain accurate inventory records through the use of a computerized inventory system
  • Utilize material handling equipment such as forklifts, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned

Technical Skills:
Ability to successfully complete forklift training and demonstrate the ability to operate the equipment
Basic computer skills
Excel and Email usage

Soft Skills:
Highly organized and detail orientated
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment under tight deadlines
Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions
Job Requirements

Education:
High school diploma plus 6-12 month’s experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Experience:
Must possess valid Driver's License- CDL preferred
DOT medical card preferred, not required

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
  • Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions
  • Must be in good physical condition with the ability to stoop, crawl, bend at the knees and waist, squat, push, pull, lift above the head, and lift 100 lbs; includes body weight, equipment, tools and boxes
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time on varied surfaces
  • The ability to work weekends, nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively
  • May be required to work long and unpredictable hours
