Job Summary:

Oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, including materials flow, inventory control, and the accuracy of all goods inventories. Responsible for managing replenishment transactions, receiving, shipping, and maintaining cost-efficient warehouse functions. Ensures proper control and requisitioning of material to meet production requirements. Oversees the planning, purchasing, and scheduling of plant production in line with the master schedule. Accountable for meeting monthly goals and analyzing the performance of each measurable, while administering the department in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

*Essential Job Duties:

  • Supervises the team responsible for, or directly executes work for, all material control, planning, purchasing, scheduling, follow-up, and reporting activities.
  • Maintain material requirements, purchasing, and finite production planning parameters, effectively balancing inventory levels to optimize cost and service.
  • Establish, maintain, and improve business practices, procedures, and documentation that ensure control of supplier releases, purchasing, incoming material shipments, receiving documents, inventory levels, material storage and movement, and shipments to the customer.
  • Maintain and control all aspects of inventory life cycle for raw material and finished goods. This includes inventory accuracy and all transactions that impact inventory accuracy, cycle count program, and obsolescence management.
  • Responsible for optimization and execution of all shipping, receiving, purchasing, and material control functions.
  • Establish, implement, and manage a system to evaluate, monitor, and report supplier scorecard performance.
  • Represent the plant in new product development team and project work.
  • Interact with customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, business or related field of study
  • Minimum of 6 years related experience within warehouse and materials management
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead teams to deliver results
  • Proven ability to work effectively across different projects at the same time and to work across the organization to execute project/process requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects within a matrix structure
  • Must have knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and related software applications; order processing systems; project management software, manufacturing software and database software
  • Thorough knowledge of MRP, order handling, and inventory management concepts
  • Strong demonstrated leadership skills – highly motivated and able to work independently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency with Syteline CSI or a comparable inventory management system
  • Hands-on experience with the handling, storage, and shipment of hazardous chemicals, including a solid understanding of DOT and EPA regulations
  • Proven experience in drafting and implementing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and process aids, with a focus on optimizing workflows and ensuring compliance
  • APICS certification
