Job Description
General Summary
The Dropship Lead is responsible for ensuring small parcel shipments ship out same day or otherwise within specified shipping windows. He/She will manage the team and is responsible for the team’s shipping accuracy and associated training. The Lead is expected to maintain contact with their direct supervisor regarding the progress of the day-to-day including requests for assistance and inventory levels of supplies.
Primary / Key Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Ship scheduled small parcel packages within specified shipping windows – usually 24 hours or same day
- Manage a team of 8+ members
- Maintain a line of communication with their supervisor as well as organizing the workspace. Oversees the printing, picking, packing, and shipping of customer orders resolving any orders that have inventory issues.
- Train new employees in their role as a shipper/picker. Troubleshoot as system errors arise while shipping
- Ensure safety regulations are met, including the certification of personal operating machinery

- General Computer Literacy
- Interpersonal and critical thinking skills
- Calm disposition and ability to work under fast-paced and stressful workloads
- MS Office Suite experience preferred.
- Experience with forklifts and related equipment preferred
- Excellent organizational skills
Education and/or Experience and Qualifications
Minimum Education: High school diploma or GED
Minimum Experience: Basic computer skills along with one to two (1-2) years’ warehouse experience
