Dallas, TX Position Overview:
Reporting to the Vice President of National Sales, this position will manage, coordinate, and oversee all activity within his/her specific area of responsibility with American Airlines. The ideal candidate is a self-starting go-getter, who enjoys turning on their charm. Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
Develop and maintain master calendar for Major Airline Client; communicate deadlines, and adhere to schedules. Organize and communicate with Wine Consultant of Airline Client; share Palm Bay International’s proposed wine selections, tech sheets, presentations, and wine lists via Dropbox. Maintain comprehensive Excel “tasting library” and manage delivery of samples needed for tastings. Coordinate and manage Airline Client and Palm Bay International Executive “reveal” tasting with Airline Client Wine Consultant; coordinate event details with Airline Client in-house caterer; coordinate samples, POS, and collaborate with Graphics department to design brochure(s). Manage event logistics for top-level meetings, business lunches, and dinners. Aid Portfolio Managers sourcing categories for new items. Ensure any new items added to the wine program fit current configurations for catering/bar cart. Work with Airline Client and catering to maximize space for wine. Attend monthly meetings at Airline’s Headquarters. Oversee monthly/quarterly collateral and ensure accuracy and consistency. Oversee wine list descriptions for menus. Oversee and maintain wine library of phonetic spelling/pronunciation. Oversee Flight Attendant Program Guide. Design PowerPoint for Caterers Menu. Maintain label and bottle images for Premium and Main Cabins. Conduct Lounge RFP. Organize Flight Attendant Training wine selections. Third Party Warehouses Responsibilities: Maintain and communicate CPN calendar for third party warehouses. Monitor Warehouse reports for overall accuracy. Ensure category classifications are accurate and consistent. Help identify available substitutions as needed. Prepare and participate in Quality Analysis Tastings. Execute CPN requests. Execute Tax Paid Transfer Forms. Submit New Product Forms. Order, ship, or deliver wine sample requests as needed to Airline Client and Airline Client Affiliates. Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred. 3-5 years’ experience in wine industry and/or Airline commodities industry required. Superior and meticulous organizational skills, detail-oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong clerical skills. Strong communication, both written and verbal. Must have the ability to interact with and present to high-level personnel. Ability to work independently and in a dynamic, high-energy, team-oriented atmosphere. High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel.
