The District Manager will have the responsibility to manage the Palm Bay Wines and Spirits Portfolio within the state of Florida.Responsibilities/Essential Functions:Wholesale Distributor managementDistributor EducationReaching state sales objectives while staying under company specified budgetCalling on top on and off premise accounts in the stateRide alongs with sales reps to increase product knowledge, manage inventory vintages/rotation/purchasingCommunicate market conditions with Regional Manager on a weekly basisManage T&E budgets while covering all markets in South Florida.Participate in weekly, monthly, and semi-annual business meetings with distributor managers.Prepare and execute supplier market visits which include distributor education and general sales meetings.Qualifications/Requirements:Bachelor’s Degree preferred5 years of distributor or supplier experienceFine wine & retail sales experience preferredA foundation of wine intelligence and the ability to educate othersCompetitive and Charismatic personalityStrong communication, both written and verbalSuperior organizational skills, detail oriented, must be able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlinesAbility to work independently and in a dynamic, high energy, team-oriented atmosphere.High level of proficiency with Microsoft OfficeAbility to lift up to 40 poundsSafe driving recordMust be capable to run and read reports on Cognos 8 reporting, AC Neilsen's, Diver and Micro.Must be able to present in front of large groups of people.Must understand pricing, budgeting and setting state goals that are broken out by sales divisions.Must have an understanding of ON and OFF premise programming.Benefits Overview:Palm Bay offers a competitive compensation package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(K), paid vacation, personal time off and 11 paid company holidays.Palm Bay International is an equal opportunity employer.
