Facilities Capital Projects Division Manager

Job Posting Oct. 29, 2024 The County of Marin seeks an experienced, motivated leader to manage the Facilities Capital Projects Division. This position oversees a major division within the Public Works Department with management responsibilities over facilities capital improvement planning, programming, and project delivery. The Facilities Capital Projects Division is comprised of 10 accomplished project managers, architects, and support staff that develop a wide variety of projects from the planning phase through design, permitting, and construction. The Facilities Capital Projects Division Manager must possess knowledge of vertical building project delivery processes from entitlements to commissioning with the ability to anticipate problems, implement solutions, and ensure the completion of projects on time and within budget. California municipal government experience is highly desired, as is a working knowledge of building codes and the Public Contracting Code, including alternative project delivery methods. Requires equivalent to a 4-year college degree and 5 years of increasingly responsible full-time experience performing planning, feasibility analysis, financing, and overall project management and/or engineering work on projects involving buildings and public facilities. At least 2 years of the required professional experience must have included functioning in a supervisory capacity. California Architect licensure, Civil Engineering licensure, or Project Management Professional Certifications are highly desirable, but not required. Experience with project management software and technology is essential for success in this role. Specific experience utilizing ClickUp, Asana, Monday, Microsoft Project or other similar programs is desired. The annual salary range for this position is $156,125 to $189,800, DOQ. Candidates who possess a California Civil Engineering license are eligible for a $10,000 signing bonus and an additional 2% license differential above base salary.
