Our client is a leading US FMCG brand.
Overview:
This Head of Supply Chain Finance role will be a critical leader in the Supply Chain Finance team across multiple pillars (Plan, Deliver and Source), across multiple geographies. This role helps lead Emerging Markets Unit overall supply chain and operations financial activities while closely collaborating with the Supply Chain Team to deliver performance targets including cost, efficiency and working capital metrics. Through strategic influencing, analytical thinking and insights, this role is key to driving and improving performance, implementation of standard processes and strengthening of financial internal controls.
The Head of Supply Chain Finance will help us shape strategic decisions, not only for supply chain activities but across the company.
The role reports to the Finance Director for the region and is based in SG.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Lead a team of 3 direct reports and 1 indirect report.
Serve on two leadership teams: Cluster Supply Chain LT, Cluster Finance LT.
Deliver results through insights based on deep knowledge of Supply chain operations; Draw insights leveraging data & analytics to enable strategic business decisions and translate insights to actionable solutions while maintaining candor and an external mindset.
Influence business decisions cross-functionally to drive value maximization, specifically for improving COGS and Working Capital.
Lead the Supply Chain annual operating plan / budgeting process and the strategic business long-range planning process.
Collaborate across markets supply teams to develop monthly 12/24 month rolling forecast.
Be the co-pilot of Supply Chain Director and provide decision support and shared accountability for overall supply chain function.
Lead continuous improvement in processes and systems.
Be a change leader on continuous strong Holistic Margin Management (HMM, cost savings) and SC Finance Modernization Strategy.
Partner closely with Supply Chain Leadership team and the markets to provide strategic direction across all Supply pillars (including sourcing, HMM / cost savings, manufacturing footprints, etc) that will help support the businesses in delivering profitable growth ambitions.
Anchor for developing long term HMM strategy and pipeline.
Planning & Analysis:
Lead the annual budget and monthly supply planning process. Play a key role in supply planning as part of monthly integrated business planning process. Demonstrate ownership in inventory and COGS financial planning.
Partnering with supply chain teams to identify and facilitate implementation of short-term strategic initiatives to deliver budget and long-term plan; Drive accountability and implement tracking of savings projects (HMM) vs. goals.
Drive analysis and insights and turn them into business actions. Proactively create action plans to close any gaps and/or take advantage of any opportunities throughout the year.
Partnership for Impact:
Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, International and US SC Finance teams, Sales and work across the matrix to deliver results via candid communication and productive discourse.
Bring experience, analytics, insight, and candor to influence and shape short- and long-term strategies and performance.
Provide clear, concise summaries of performance with functional and cross-functional business partners.
Focus on insights and driving actions to improve results.
Manage SC Finance Team:
Lead in ensuring that we have best-in-class Finance organization in Supply Chain Finance who enable the business in meeting or exceeding its targets.
Conduct performance appraisal and individual development plan to ensure functional strength and career progression.
The individual:
Preferably FMCG background with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
Leadership experience across a variety of brands/products/operations/geographies.
Good grasp of business dynamics, with exposure to Operations, Supply Chain as well as Sales and Marketing.
Excellent analytical and business skills.
Past involvement at a senior level in managing key business projects.
Experience in developing ‘added value’ improvements in business processes, analytical techniques, or commercial systems.
High level competence using spreadsheet applications.
Passionate, driven by quality and achieving results, high level of integrity.
Proactive and results driven.
