Job Description: Vice President, Global Security Operations Center The Role: The VP, Global Security Operations Center is an experienced security professional who effectively leads teams to protect Fidelity’s associates, customers, properties, and business units. With over 18 campuses domestically and overseas along with 200+ investor centers and remote offices, this VP ensures that the safety, security and domain awareness of these individuals and locations is maintained 24/7 x 365 days a year! This individual is an associate-facing Brand Ambassador for Global Security & Investigations and exudes professionalism and must provide outstanding customer service to Fidelity and its affiliated companies. The location for this role is Smithfield, RI with periodic trips to Merrimack, NH.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring: Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree a plus 12+ years of proven experience in an operational/technical security center environment Ability and experience in effectively managing and leading cross-functional teams and initiatives that drive positive change Technical knowledge and/or operational knowledge of the latest security center technologies including Everbridge-Visual Command Center, Fusion Risk Management, and Genetec Ability to problem solve and integrate social media and other open source and intelligence feeds into a domain awareness platform for situational awareness purposes Experience in implementing and operationalizing security technologies and implementing their analytical capabilities Outstanding written communication, presentation, and organization skills Ability to brief senior leaders and executives on the operational capabilities of our security infrastructure and ability to brief them during crisis events Ability to brief clients on the latest security capabilities Ability to influence strategic business directions in the security technology arena Works well independently, performs under pressure, especially during major incidents and deals effectively with ambiguity, and balances multiple tasks and priorities successfully

The Value You Deliver Advanced knowledge of security principles (incident management, proximity alerting, life safety, investigations, travel security and threat assessment) Security technology subject matter expertise A problem finder and problem solver who makes decisions using information, fact patterns and an understanding of the global risk landscape Can communicate effectively with senior security leadership, site/business unit leadership and business partners, and also develops effective strategic partnerships to influence key decisions and initiatives Has strategic mentality to improve mobility and retention within the Operations Center arena Effectively provides around the clock security posture for Fidelity campuses, investor centers, and travelers throughout the world Enforces corporate and site-wide policies, procedures, and standards related to operational, physical, and technical security management Has influence and relationships with major government security organizations like the State Department’s Overseas Security Advisory Council and the FBI’s Domestic Security Advisory Council

The Team The Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) is part of the Resilience, Intelligence & Security Operations Center organization that reports into the Chief Security Officer of Fidelity Investments. It is a best in class, innovative capability and has employees located at multiple sites in New England. It works very closely with other security and continuity professionals within the firm at various locations throughout the United States and abroad. It is a 24x7x365 day operation with very modern domain awareness technologies.
