Job Description
Position Summary
Under the direction of the HR Operations Manager works closely with Field HR Managers and management to ensure workforce alignment with business needs. Builds and maintains excellent relationships with both hiring managers and candidates (internal and external). Develops and establishes an effective attraction and recruitment strategy, plan and marketing campaign for internal clients to meet the business placement objectives by sourcing, assessing and negotiating offers.
Responsibilities
- Create and develop strong business partnerships with internal clients and will lead the full life cycle recruitment process.
- Develop multiple sourcing channels, including candidate pipelines, to attract the best active and passive candidates, while leveraging technology to ensure an effective and efficient process.
- Identify and implement sourcing strategies based upon the job position by creatively conducting research and/or utilizing a multitude of resources
- Lead and present talent acquisition topics to various functional groups.
- Consults with Field HR Managers and management to create appropriate recruitment planning models and to ensure ongoing alignment with workforce needs while filling open positions based on employment requisitions; to ensure that staffing requirements are maintained within budget guidelines and according to federal and state regulations, and HR policies and to ensure that the best applicant match for the position is hired. Responsible for sourcing candidates and ensuring an adequate and diverse applicant pool of qualified applicants through advertising, career fairs, community events, tours, in compliance with applicable employment laws.
- Working knowledge of union contract and parameters that apply to recruiting role.
- Coordinates and directs the offer of employment based on policies and union contract. Ensures policies related to the employment offer are followed and documentation is complete, including reference checks, internally equitable and externally competitive compensation, drug screening, and criminal background checks.
- Responsible for the HR hiring metrics reporting; analysis data/trends in partnership with HR Operations Mgr. to develop solutions.
- Shares in design of recruitment systems and programs; reviews/keeps current employment policies and procedures.
- Maintains recruitment module for talent management system and participates in implementation of new modules.
- Supports mission, vision, and values as well as departmental goals and objectives.
- Responsible for always maintaining strict confidentiality of information and records.
- Displays commitment to continuous learning, including own professional development as well as sharing information and learning with other team members.
- Participates in the formulation of the budget, HR policies and procedures, measurement tools and long-range planning as part of the HR team.
- Participates in and may lead sub teams to establish and achieve process improvement goals for recruiting practices.
- Meets regularly with Field HR Managers to ensure ongoing alignment with workforce needs of organization.
- Collaborates with HR Team in process improvement initiatives.
- Maintains ongoing focus on teamwork and communication to improve processes that ensure efficiency and cost-effective HR services.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university in human resources, business, or related field required
Experience
- 5 years of experience in a full life cycle recruiting role required.
- 5 years of progressive human resource experience in a high volume, fast-paced recruitment environment which includes using behavioral interviewing techniques and demonstrated partnership with business leaders and employees to support the execution of organizational goals and objectives required.
- Food manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience in workforce segmentation, employment branding, and metrics required.
- Previous experience developing strategic recruitment plans for various service lines required.
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Outlook) required
- Experience with integrated Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) and talent/recruitment management systems preferred. ADP Workforce Now tools preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Fluency in Spanish strongly preferred (Read/Write/Speak)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state employment laws, as well as an understanding of compensation practices involved in recruitment is required.
- Proven ability to be strategic in sourcing and recruiting activities, including ability to analyze market and demographic data and put together a comprehensive sourcing strategy required.
- Coach and advise the hiring team on the best hiring practices required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to recruiting processes and methodologies required.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing complex recruitment plans required.
- Demonstrated understanding and ability to execute processes associated with recruitment required.
- Excellent project management and business literacy skills required.
- Strong sense of urgency, results and action-oriented required.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to communicate with confidence including excellent negotiation and presentation skills required.
- Track record of building and maintaining strong customer relationships while providing excellent customer service required
- Ability to work independently and with all levels of management and staff in support of strategic plan execution required.
- Ability to work effectively within a matrix environment required.
