Field Recruiter | Remote
Location: San Diego, California
Reports to: St. Louis
Annual Salary: Min. 65K to 75K Max, California Only.

As a Field Recruiter, you will work individually and on the field recruitment team as a representative of our client. You will be responsible for recruiting for our client's civilian fleet and shoreside vacancies, working your geographically assigned territory. You will report to the Field Recruitment Manager and work from your home office, reporting to St. Louis.
*This position is in support of a U.S. government contract, requiring our employees in this position to obtain and maintain a favorable investigation with the government. The government investigation process begins after a Conditional Offer has been accepted by the candidate.
Responsibilities
- Autonomously work the geographically assigned territory to proactively uncover and recruit qualified candidates.
- Attend and present at general job fairs and military job fairs within your territory.
- Host Client events within your territory.
- Conduct shipboard visits when feasible.
- Build relationships and plan / manage outreach visits with schools, battalions, and programs as necessary.
- Interface with the military offices and programs to educate transitioning military about the career opportunities with our Client.
- Work with Field Recruitment Manager to plan out quarterly schedule.
- Prepare and turn in timely expense reports and post event evaluations for the travel incurred each week.
- Manage and plan all travel accommodations and other arrangements necessary to meet schedule requirements.
- Manage and follow up with prospects on a weekly basis, up to and including submission of their application, selection, and new employee onboarding.
- Post upcoming recruiting events on Social Media Platforms (i.e. Facebook/ LinkedIn/ Twitter/ Instagram).
- Utilizes online recruiting sources, including social media, to identify and recruit candidates.
- Travel: 50% minimum
- Other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Must be able to successfully undergo a government investigation in order to obtain and maintain a security clearance (Secret; Tier 3).
- Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Associate degree or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Minimum two years' prior military or maritime recruiting experience required. 3+ years preferred.
- Prior military background E-6 (and above) preferred.
- Professional and effective communication skills required, in-person, phone and email.
- Strong professional selling and marketing skills required.
- Experience using social media to support recruitment efforts.
- Must be extremely detail-oriented and focused on accuracy.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions about our Client's civilian fleet and shoreside vacancies.
- Must have the ability to multitask and effectively work within multiple databases.
- Must be able to quickly gain advanced knowledge of U.S. Coast Guard requirements, maritime credentials, and various processes.
- Strong in Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Word required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel preferred.
- Strong in working on a computer with a Microsoft operating system required.
- Data entry experience preferred.
- Adapts well to change.
- Works well in a team setting.
Physical Requirements
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Prolonged periods of standing, presenting to and interacting with large groups.
- Travel to support recruitment efforts, at least 50%; requires driving primarily by personal vehicle and traveling occasionally by air.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must be able to navigate facilities required for travel and recruitment efforts outlined above.
