We are seeking a detail-oriented, experienced part-time Bookkeeper to support our financial operations, working onsite at our Redwood City Corporate office. This role will work closely with our CAO to ensure accurate recording, reporting, and management of all financial data. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in accounting or bookkeeping and possess strong organizational skills. Anticipated 20-24 hours/week Monday - Wednesday.

  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Reconcile accounts monthly to ensure accuracy and identify discrepancies.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, including vendor invoices, customer payments, and employee reimbursements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.
  • Assist in preparing financial statements, such as profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
  • Manage state and federal tax processing related to payroll.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Coordinate with external accountants during annual audits and tax filings.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a bookkeeper or a similar role, 2+ years experience required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field highly preferred.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar platforms).
  • Strong knowledge of bookkeeping principles, accounting, and tax regulations.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with other departments and vendors.
  • High degree of accuracy and confidentiality.
