Security Operations Lead - Major Events

As the Security Operations Lead with Control Risks, you will be directly supporting a Fortune 500 client of ours, helping to implement and oversee security measures during major events. This position will support the client's efforts to prepare for major global events to ensure the safety and security of the company's people and assets.
This position will require the candidate to be based in the Southeast United States.
Responsibilities:
Work with the World Cup project team daily to provide security support and ensure security requirements are in place for secure operations during the event. Collaborate with Client partners to create and implement a system-wide security strategy that will respond to identified risks. Represent Global Security on the event project team. Provide perspective; promote ideas, strategies, and initiatives concerning security issues that are critical to the success of project team operations. Ensure that security operational concepts are viable, cost effective and aligned with overall Company objectives. Develop a comprehensive security plan and project budget for all aspects of the Company’s Olympic plans to include the local and global hospitality programs. Prepare security assessments for all event-related activation sites. Represent Global Security concerning issues related to the Incident Management Crisis Resolution (IMCR) plan for the Company’s event programs. Participate in the development of event IMCR risk assessments and mitigation plans. Provide briefings on security issues and program developments to the Project Manager and Corporate functional managers. Provide regular progress reports and program updates to Global Security. Establish and maintain cooperative relationships with various enforcement agencies and the event organizing committee’s security department concerning event security issues. Participate in preparation of a detailed after-action report that documents all aspects of the project security program and operational learnings that can be applied to future events. Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent work experience required. 5+ years of relevant work experience in security management within a global business environment. Ability to communicate effectively in English and Spanish, both verbally and in writing. Relevant law enforcement/military and/or corporate security management experience. Experience should include security management for major events, including the preparation of security strategies and operating plans. Proficiency in preparation of security risk assessments and in development of contingencies (Business Continuity Plans and Emergency Response Plans) for potential security events. Previous experience with general risk analysis and business continuity planning process is desirable. Knowledge and understanding of industry best practices, laws, and regulations governing security operations in the US and Mexico are preferred. The ability to lead, prioritize, and execute complex security projects with multiple stakeholders. Proven ability to develop and maintain networked relationships with both internal and external partners and stakeholders. Experience in crisis and incident management.
