*** NOTE: This is a project-based role in Suffolk, VA. Candidates must be able to commute daily to the Suffolk, VA area. ***

When you join Design Group as a Project Manager, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. You will work with a team of industry experts to help leading companies solve their most difficult problems.
What You’ll Do:
Identify and secure clients and business/project opportunities.
Client relationship development and project execution including proposal development, management of project resources, project budgets and forecasting, and schedule management.
Maintain and grow solid client relationships.
Prepare successful proposals and negotiate professional service fees and contracts.
Conduct conceptual studies, detailed design, field installation, or construction support for projects.
Work across a multi-office, multi-disciplinary team and ensure successful project execution.
What You’ll Bring:
5+ years of experience in management or executing capital projects.
Experience in Food & Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Life Science, or Consumer Products industries is a plus.
Strong engineering background with a focus on quality, cost-effectiveness, and safety.
Technical background in facility/unit operations and design.
Strong analytical skills and understanding of project management fundamentals.
Client development and experience in proposal preparation are highly desirable.
Excellent written communication and presentation skills.
Proficiency in MS Project is highly desirable.
Willing and able to travel as necessary for project requirements.
A Bachelor of Science in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
