We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to join the Consumer Product team at Grubhub. Our organization is responsible for the customer on Grubhub and our partners. This critical role will focus on building commerce platform products used by internal teams and external partners to build applications. You will play a central role in envisioning, articulating, and expanding the core features that drive user experiences on Grubhub apps and partner integrations with Grubhub’s online food ordering marketplace. You will work directly with engineering leaders on providing the product mindset and direction as we evolve our marketplace platform. Ideal candidates for this role have a strong technical product management background in direct-to-consumer digital, retail, or CPG subscription platforms, a customer-centric mindset, strong technical and analytical acumen, and can communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders from peer-level to C-level. They excel at problem-solving in collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and are adept at leveraging data and insights to drive value through their products. You will report directly to a Director of Product Management. The Impact You Will Make: Create the product plan for the next generation of the Grubhub commerce platform working directly with senior engineering leadership. Create the vision and articulate the short and long-term product strategy for using Grubhub’s commerce platform to expand the third-party partnership product offering. Work with Engineering to integrate customer and business requirements into the commerce platform system to ensure feature parity across applications. Gather and unearth business opportunities through research, data analysis, user experience analysis, competitive research, testing, and experimentation. Manage product features, influence customers, vendors, external partners, and engineering teams' priorities. Proficiently communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing with Product, Design, Engineering, and Business partners to ensure clear messaging of the Partnership Platform strategy and goals across the company. Liaise between Product and non-technical/product partners to clearly explain complex product concepts in simple language. Set clear, quantitative measures for product(s) and monitor process, progress, and results. Deliver on rigorous, quantifiable business objectives in a matrixed, flat organization. Play a key role in the company’s strategic direction, defining and articulating new opportunities, and working closely with key stakeholders, including executive leadership, Grubhub’s technology team, and various business teams. Identify areas of improvement within the team and proactively mentor them to help close those gaps. Invest in coaching and mentoring other PMs on the team. Demonstrate strong writing and storytelling skills through product briefs, Jira tickets, opportunity assessments, etc. Actively make process improvements. Drive large features within their domain and be the SME for those crossing a number of partners. What You Bring to the Table: 5+ years of experience as a Product Manager in an Agile environment. Experience in user-facing industries such as eCommerce, technology, or multi-sided marketplaces. BA/BS required, with a focus on computer science or mathematics preferred; MBA is a plus. Proficient analytical and quantitative skills and strong bias towards data-driven decision-making, preferably in the context of experiments. Experience manipulating large, raw datasets using tools/techniques such as SQL, pivot tables, lookups, etc.; experience with Presto, Redash, Tableau. Proven collaboration skills, working across a broad organization including Technology, Product Design, Data Science, and Marketing. Demonstrated experience launching search features in high growth markets; history of successfully delivering large scale projects in high-quality, managing the entire life-cycle. Familiar with product development in Agile and OKR methodologies, preferably with squad or tribe structures. Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage trade-offs, and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities. Strong technical understanding for the area of product development and focus and is building awareness at the architecture level. An innate understanding of technology and how to use it to deliver outstanding and innovative products is a must. ***As a matter of company policy, Grubhub does not sponsor applicants for employment visa status for this role.*** The base salary ranges for this position are below. The ranges provided exclude other forms of compensation such as equity and bonus. New York: $152,500 - $190,500 base salary range. Grubhub uses geographic-specific salary structures, which means the salary offered may vary depending on where the job is located. The final salary offer will take into account various factors, such as the candidate's skills, education, training, credentials, and experience.
