The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for defining regional requirements for SolarEdge products for the Community, Commercial and Industrial segments, promoting those requirements to product management and R&D, and orchestrating the resultant product launch within the region. They are also responsible for identifying applications and markets for SolarEdge products in the region and working with SolarEdge customers to identify those applications and promote SolarEdge's products.
Focus areas for this position will be Energy Storage applications, integration of Solar, Energy Storage, Site Loads and EV Charging, with emphasis in Software for monitoring, controls and communication of plant assets.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Definition of new product and feature requirements in the North America CCI Segment for Monitoring and Controls of Solar, Storage, building loads by working with the regional commercial team, customers and Headquarters. Product launch - plan the launch of new products and releases and manage the cross-functional implementation of the plan. Track and monitor competitive activity in the industry. Develop product positioning and messaging that differentiates SolarEdge products in the market. Sales enablement - communicate the value proposition of the products to the sales team and develop the sales tools that support the selling process of your products. Develop the strategy and manage the marketing programs that drive demand. Educate and develop account management staff. Coach and motivate account group leaders to effectively develop and motivate their direct reports. Identify and recommend internal and external training opportunities. Minimum Requirements:
BS in Engineering or equivalent required. 5-10 years experience in the solar or storage industry working in Product Management or Technical Marketing roles. Experience working with software and controls for renewable energy projects. Experience in product management or applications support for energy storage products and projects. Electric power industry domain experience with demonstrated understanding of renewable energy operations. Excellent industry knowledge of competition, market trends in the renewable energy industry with focus on integration of PV, energy storage, EV charging and building loads. Knowledge of NEC and regulatory codes for PV and Storage installations. Strong communication skills including listening and handling objections and complex discussions with Product Management Team. Strong presentation skills. Strong time and project management skills to proactively build trust and confidence as a remote employee. Product launch and business development experience required. Experience in cyber-security is a plus.
