We are in search of an Administrative Assistant to support our team in Oakland, California. In this role, you will mainly be responsible for scheduling and coordinating meetings for the Special Education Department, utilizing various software platforms. This role offers a short term contract employment opportunity and requires an individual who is adept at handling sensitive information and possesses strong computer skills.
Responsibilities:
• Manage scheduling for the Special Education Department, coordinating meetings and appointments
• Utilize various software platforms to manage and organize scheduling
• Communicate effectively with managers and teachers, providing necessary administrative support
• Handle sensitive information with professionalism and discretion
• Ensure proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to perform administrative tasks
• Maintain strong organizational skills to manage high volume scheduling
• Manage email correspondence and answer inbound calls as necessary
• Perform data entry tasks and maintain accurate records
• Assist in coordinating educational classes for students
• Exhibit strong grammar and communication skills in all interactions.• Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant or similar role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word)
• Experience with office management software like MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, specifically)
• Strong organization skills with a problem-solving attitude
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail
• Ability to answer inbound and outbound calls professionally
• Experience in customer service is a plus
• Ability to perform data entry tasks with accuracy
