The Kolbe Center is searching for an Executive Director to lead a Catholic pro-life ministry and pregnancy resource center in Macon, GA.
Reports to
The Kolbe Center Board of Directors Job Duties
Develop and lead pro-life outreach ministry to educate and offer assistance to women with unplanned pregnancy. Counsel women with unplanned pregnancy and promote the option to carry pregnancy to term. Coordinate and assist with options for mothers who choose to deliver their baby, including assistance with obtaining available community services or referral to appropriate adoption programs if needed. Assist with referral to appropriate resources for pre-natal care. Develop and implement educational programs on Catholic pro-life positions and natural family planning. Coordinate educational programs with parish pro-life ministries. Cultivate ministry within the local community, churches, and organizations. Seek and secure available grants and other external sources of funding for ministry. Set and implement two and five-year objectives for the growth of ministry. Maintain professional knowledge by attending appropriate workshops, reviewing publications, and developing contacts within professional societies. Contribute to the success of The Kolbe Center by accomplishing related tasks as assigned by the Board. Manage day-to-day responsibilities of phone, mail, and scheduling of ministry activities. Plan annual fundraising events and marches. Recruit, train, and organize volunteer staff. Budget, inventory, and order supplies needed for ministry. Coordinate and plan monthly Board of Directors meetings. Skills and Qualifications
Outstanding character and commitment to serve Christ within the ministries of the Catholic Church. Bachelor's degree with appropriate skill in counseling/crisis intervention. Compatibility with and advocacy of all Catholic teachings regarding pregnancy, contraception, and natural family planning. Desire to work with women of all socio-economic groups who face an unplanned pregnancy. Outgoing, organized, independent, self-motivated leader with a passion for Catholic pro-life ministries and teachings. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Desire to develop and grow established pro-life ministry. Skills with social media and Microsoft Office. NOTE:
