QES Tech
One of the largest direct indexing managers in the world, GSAM’s Quantitative Equity Solutions (QES) team manages over $157BN across nearly 33,000 tax-efficient equity portfolios as well as mutual funds, exchange funds, and exchange-traded funds. The team is a growing quantitative investment business specializing in the delivery of highly customized investment solutions to High Net Worth, Institutional, and Retail clients. As a focal point for one of the division’s key priority initiatives, the QES Engineering team works in a close-knit environment with Portfolio Managers to create disruptive digital tools and design sophisticated investment strategies. We have a unique opportunity to develop highly-scalable, quantitatively based portfolio management systems that can implement each client’s distinct investment objectives. We collaborate with Engineering colleagues within the division and Core to devise end-to-end technology solutions required to facilitate the continued growth of the QES business. We welcome innovation and strongly value development best practices that allow us to create reliable and high-quality software products.
We're looking for a strong full-time software engineer who is:
Skilled in coding for large platforms.
Has 10+ years of professional Java experience. The platform is in a multi-language environment, so the engineer is expected to work in multiple programming languages depending on project demands.
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must.
Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced front office environment is a plus.

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $150,000-$250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
