Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support including data entry, filing, and maintaining patient records.
- Assist with managing medical office equipment and troubleshooting hardware issues.
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and handle inquiries with excellent phone etiquette.
- Ensure patient interactions are handled professionally and with great customer service.
- Assist in financial tasks such as handling payments and processing transactions.
- Support the medical team with coordinating meetings, managing schedules, and organizing records.
- Follow food safety regulations in relation to Medical Nutrition Therapy within the healthcare setting.
- Perform general clerical tasks to ensure smooth daily operations of the medical office.
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma, Certificate of Attendance, Certificate of Completion, GED, or equivalent training or experience required.
- FOODSAFE Food Safety Certification preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of administrative experience, ideally in the medical field.
- Proficient in data entry, computer skills, and office hardware maintenance.
- Customer service experience in a healthcare setting is highly preferred.
- Experience handling financial transactions and money preferred.
- Basic knowledge of Medical Nutrition Therapy is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Certification(s) Required:
- Food Safety Certification required within 90 days of job entry.
Contract Details:
- Pay rate: $20-21 per hour.
- Contract position.
