We have an exciting position open in Midland, MI: Director, Global Sales and Marketing - Elastomeric Flow Control The primary mission of the Director, Global Sales and Marketing is to direct the commercial sales and marketing activities for Elastomeric Flow Control (EFC) technology. This individual is responsible for coordinating the development and implementation of EFC strategic plans in cooperation with Aptar segments and external customers worldwide. The individual is also responsible for both the short-term and long-term profitability of the EFC business, working in close collaboration with Aptar Midland and Aptar Ckyne Operations to maintain an efficient capital structure to support continued profitability. The individual will also have responsibility for supporting the EFC Expert Center and will support the innovation, new product development, and project management activities specific to the technology. A key part of the responsibilities will include instilling a culture of innovation in the sales and marketing teams, while adhering to and promoting Aptar Core Values and Rules of Leadership amongst all levels within the company. Job Elements & Position Responsibilities Leader in the preparation of company strategic plans and growth strategies. Identify and secure identified resources needed to successfully implement strategic and tactical plans. Work with Segment leadership, including Regional, GMD, BDM's, RMD's, etc. to align on and drive the EFC commercial strategy with aim to drive increased Segment diversification and growth. Provide commercial strategy input for Regions and Strategic Accounts to protect core business (Global Accounts, key Regional Accounts, Mega business), identify new market opportunities, and build a strong pipeline to support future growth. Define and implement the overall market strategy for the region – 5 yr horizon, including the regional growth and market priority plans for Aptar EFC. Responsible for Global Partner strategies and commercial negotiation, including management of and growth via existing relationships, and identifying and establishing new partners to drive future growth. Responsibilities include the development and execution of Global market sales strategies, product life cycle management, new product development plans and pipeline, commercialization plans, and partnership with GMD and DDC to achieve sales growth of new/existing products. Support EFC Expert Center to drive evolutionary and revolutionary technical advancement to current Aptar EFC product lines, and overall EFC technology. Oversight, preparation/management and presentation to corporate of annual budgets (P/L and capital) for all EFC facilities. Oversee sales and marketing activities within potential and identified strategic markets, ensuring innovative, commercialized, and profitable product applications and platforms. Assure that commercial strategy and development/innovation objectives and profit plans are achieved. Professional development for core team supporting EFC growth strategy through commercial and technical development excellence. Partner with Finance team to determine product line pricing strategy that is supportive of global financial plan and objectives and market competitive. Gather and analyze global market intelligence through consumer studies, customer interactions and other sources. Provide leadership and support as part of the Aptar EFC Management Team. Required Education Qualifications Bachelor degree in Business, Engineering, or other equitable focus. Required Skills Qualifications Ability to work in multi-cultural environment. Managed direct team of reports. Demonstrated Market strategy development and growth plans for a market and region. Fluency in English (major advantage: working knowledge of either French, German, Italian or Spanish). Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Frequent travel. Preferred Experience Experience in creating and successfully implementing strategic business plans. Strong commercial background (sales, marketing, business development). Innovation experience in a consumer product environment. Ability to manage a remote team of reports and stakeholders. Proven leadership capabilities, and experience in working directly with multinational clients. Strong background in understanding commercial contracts (development and enforcement of) including IP experience. 15+ years of experience in the field.
