Salary: $15-$17 per hour

Job Highlights

The Administrative Assistant will provide essential support in an office environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of care and assistance. This role involves managing various administrative tasks, coordinating and obtaining signatures of physician orders, and facilitating effective communication between clients, healthcare providers and staff members.

 

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivelant (i.e., GED)
  • Bilingual preferred
  • Previous experience in a healthcare or home health setting preferred
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and staff
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and electronic health record (EHR) systems is a MUST
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion
  • A compassionate, patient-focused attitude and a willingness to assist with various administrative and operational tasks as needed

 

Responsibilities

  • This position is responsible for performing a wide range of administrative and clerical duties, supporting both staff and clients, and helping maintain a high level of service and compliance in the delivery of home health services
  • Office Operations: Oversee and manage day-to-day office functions, including answering phones, managing emails,  maintaining office and medical supplies and equipment
  • Compliance & Record-Keeping: Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory requirements; ensure that all required documentation is completed, accurate, and securely store
  • Communication: Serve as a point of contact for both patients and healthcare staff, ensuring effective communication between the agency, patients, and caregivers
  • Office Maintenance: Ensure the office environment is clean, organized, and conducive to a professional, welcoming atmosphere for patients and staff
  • General Administrative Tasks: Manage office correspondence, file management, and any other administrative duties as assigned
  • Utilize computerized systems such as Wellsky Kinnser 
  • Provide medical administrative support, including filing documents, maintaining office organization, and assisting with billing processes.
  • Exhibit excellent phone etiquette while interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.
  • To timely fax/mail/email POC/Orders to physician's office and follow up its reception
  • Keep an accurate record of pending orders and follow up with MD office to obtain orders signed within 28 days from SOC
  • Upload orders to the patient's chart
  • Inform any changes that have occurred to the Case Manager and Clinical Coordinator


    Benefits

    • Pay: $14-$17 per hour
    • Days will vary as part time
