Last Energy seeks a Development Manager to support the development of micro modular nuclear power projects across the UK, Poland, Netherlands, and Romania. The Development Manager will manage various activities from acquiring land to connecting projects to grids. This role requires a demonstrated leadership capability, a commercial and analytical mindset, clear communication and organization skills, and a passion for solving the climate crisis.
Areas of responsibility include:
Program/Project Management
Develop roadmaps, budgets, and resourcing plans in target countries Accelerate projects through ruthless prioritization and critical path management, together with in-country teams Assign and manage cross-functional team members (including product, engineering, licensing, and communications) in support of project progress Land Acquisition
Prepare, negotiate, and close land agreements, together with in-country teams Manage land diligence efforts, including environmental, planning, and geotechnical Grid Application
Utilize transmission and distribution maps/data to identify opportunities for expedited grid connections Develop (with support from the engineering team), submit, and manage grid connection applications through the approvals process Stakeholder Engagement/Permitting
Travel internationally and present projects to municipalities and local stakeholder groups Research, draft, submit, and manage planning and non-nuclear permitting documentation to regulatory bodies Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Economics/Finance, Environmental Science, Urban Planning, or other related discipline 5 to 15+ years of professional experience, ideally in the fields of energy or sustainability Demonstrated Project Development and Project Management skills High Emotional Intelligence, with international and cross-cultural experience preferred Working knowledge of the energy transition landscape Willing to travel internationally as needed (10-30%) Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 a year Last Energy offers full-time employees medical, dental, and vision coverage, 401(k) options, and PTO.
