Vice President/Corporate Travel Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Americas Corporate Travel Program, fostering internal and external partnerships to provide a best-in-class travel program that meets the firm’s business initiatives.
Job Description
Manage the business travel program at the banks and serve as an intermediary in providing staff support with external vendors. Oversee the on-site Direct Travel desk. Control the activity of vendor contract management and perform chairperson roles for the vendor management team and the competitive bidding process for travel related Third Parties.
Additional Job Description/Responsibilities
Leverage travel industry expertise, reporting metrics, tools and resources to provide the best solutions for the organization, proactively communicating with internal partners and leadership.
Oversight of travel management companies including contract negotiations and adherence, service level agreements and delivery performance, operational issues, staffing, reporting/invoicing systems and program technology.
Negotiate contracts and manage travel vendor programs; airlines, hotel, care, rideshare and other travel related services, defining service level agreements and data protection and privacy standards.
Develop a comprehensive reporting program to benchmark the overall travel program and provide recommendations for cost savings, improvements to service performance, delivery and program enhancements.
Serve as key contact for all travel related inquiries and policy clarifications.
Qualifications
7 years of relevant travel management experience or equivalent experience
Extensive corporate travel management, procurement, third party risk management and operations experience
Excellent organizational, analytical and team management skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, capable of communicating across all levels of the organization.
Strategic thinking, superb time management, judgement, and problem-solving skills.
Superior customer service skills
Solid proficiency with all areas of Microsoft Office and Outlook
The typical base pay range for this role is between $125K - $160K depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience and location. This role may also be eligible for certain discretionary performance-based bonus and/or incentive compensation.
