Soliant is hiring: Contract-to-Hire Retail Pharmacist Vinton, VA in Vinton

We are seeking a highly skilled Retail/Long Term Care Pharmacist for a contract-to-hire opportunity in Vinton, VA. This role offers flexible shifts and the chance to work in a fast-paced environment dedicated to patient care.

Start: ASAP
End: 13 weeks, contract to hire

Shifts Available:

• Evening shift - 12:30 PM to 9:00 PM, 7 days on / 7 days off.
• Day shift - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM.

Duties:

• Prescription Verification & Dispensing: Review and verify medication orders with precision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to safety protocols. Dispense prescriptions efficiently and accurately to meet the needs of a high-volume pharmacy.
• Customer Consultation: Provide expert advice to patients regarding their medications, including usage instructions, potential side effects, and interactions, ensuring optimal treatment outes.
• Technician Oversight: Lead and supervise pharmacy technicians, ensuring they are performing tasks correctly and maintaining the workflow's efficiency.
• Quality Assurance & pliance: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of state and federal regulations, ensuring all pharmacy practices ply with legal requirements and patient safety standards.
• Inventory & Medication Management: Oversee the management of pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and properly storing medications to ensure a seamless operation.

Experience:

• Prior Long-Term Care experience is highly preferred
• Must have substantial retail pharmacy experience and the ability to perform in a high-volume environment.

Requirements:

• PharmD required.
• Must hold an active Virginia pharmacist license in good standing.
