Location: Burlington, Vermont Position will be posted for a minimum of one week, after which it is subject to removal without notice. OPEN TO CURRENT FULL-TIME UVM FACULTY MEMBERS IN THE COLLEGE OF ARTS & SCIENCES ONLY The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a Program Director for the Center for Research on Vermont, beginning January 1, 2025. Responsibilities: Managing all aspects of the Center for Research on Vermont, a student-driven laboratory for understanding the social, environmental, economic, and technological trends impacting the State of Vermont. Overseeing research on vital issues affecting the region. Connecting students with internships, regional officials, and institutions to provide meaningful experiences in civic life. Producing a regular research newsletter that compiles research and findings from across the state. Overseeing publication of non-fiction books by regional authors on Vermont-centered topics. Amplifying the reach of scholarly work from the College of Arts & Sciences. Minimum Qualifications: Be a tenured faculty member in the College of Arts & Sciences. Have skills, experience, and interest to manage the administrative affairs of the Department. Research or teaching experience on social, environmental, economic, and technological trends impacting the State of Vermont. Experience managing interns, fundraising, and managing/working in research centers at the university level is desirable. Application Process: Applicants are asked to include a letter of intent.
