The College of Arts & Sciences seeks a Program Director for the Center for Research on Vermont. The position is to begin January 1, 2025.
Managing all aspects of the Center for Research on Vermont, a student-driven laboratory for understanding the social, environmental, economic and technological trends impacting the State of Vermont. Director responsibilities include:
Overseeing research on vital issues affecting the region
Connecting students with internships, regional officials, and institutions to provide meaningful experiences in civic life
Producing a regular research newsletter that compiles research and findings from across the state
Overseeing publication of non-fiction books by regional authors on Vermont-centered topics
Amplifying the reach of scholarly work from the College of Arts & Sciences.
Minimum Qualifications: The successful candidate will:
Be a tenured faculty member in the College of Arts & Sciences;
Have skills, experience, and interest to manage the administrative affairs of the Department;
Research or teaching experience on the social, environmental, economic and technological trends impacting the State of Vermont;
Experience managing interns, fundraising, and managing/working in research centers at the university level is desirable.
