What You Bring to the Community Enterprise
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field; advanced degrees are advantageous.
At least eight years in a leadership position, ideally within a YMCA or nonprofit organization, showcasing a proven ability to manage diverse teams successfully.
Demonstrated capability to direct and enhance operations, focusing on developing and empowering volunteers to create a culture of engagement and impact.
Experience in supervising and mentoring staff to nurture talent and drive performance excellence.
Skilled in crafting and managing budgets in alignment with strategic goals, exhibiting strong financial acumen and resourcefulness.
Proven track record of successfully increasing membership and program enrollment through innovative strategies and effective community engagement.
A strong history of meeting financial targets, with experience in budget forecasting, variance analysis, and implementing necessary corrective measures.
Comprehensive understanding of the YMCA movement and a commitment to building relationships that advance the organization's mission and community impact.
Familiarity with or eagerness to learn about design thinking and social entrepreneurship, with the ability to devise creative solutions for community challenges.
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with a talent for engaging effectively with diverse stakeholders, including staff, volunteers, donors, and community leaders.
Capacity to think strategically and translate vision into actionable plans that align with organizational objectives and community needs.
