Overview

Imagine working with world’s leading Financial Institutions and fintechs to deliver the next evolution in payments using digital assets and blockchain technology. The digital assets team in Mastercard is executing on the bold vision of delivering a new network capability for financial institutions that brings the power of programmability to bank deposits. Our focus will be partnering with FIs on enabling real-world use cases such as B2B, Cross Border payments and tokenized real-world assets.

We’re looking for someone to join our fast-paced team to build relationships with key “buying centers” in the financial institutions and get them enrolled in our products and solutions. This is a global role based in one of our offices in New York, London, or Singapore.

Role - In This High-profile, Customer-facing Position You Will

Develop a deep understanding of our products/capabilities in this space including Multi-token Network, Crypto Credential and related complimentary products and services in Mastercard. Develop a pipeline of FIs and develop and maintain relationships with the buying centers within these organizations. Develop a deep understanding of key FI’s strategies in this space and help them develop a roadmap and business case to implement our products and services in this space. Partner with internal teams including FI account management, product management and other enabling organizations to effectively show up as one team in front of the customer. Lead all aspects of customer proposals (including crafting compelling RFP responses) and deal execution (including business case development, commercial terms structuring, negotiations, and legal contracting) in close collaboration with key business partners (e.g., finance, legal, product, engineering) and regional teams.

All About You

You have experience and a proven track record of selling payment solutions or related services into FIs specifically into the transaction banking/Corporate/Commercial banking side of the business. Have experience and/or knowledge of the digital assets space and the latest developments especially on the institutional side. You’re a self-starter who can effectively mobilize, influence, and lead large, cross-functional internal and external teams with strong leadership and executive communication. You enjoy engaging with internal and external stakeholders in matrixed organizations to get things done - if there’s a hurdle, you know what levers to pull to work around it. You have a passion for understanding how products, tools, and solutions work and able to articulate in simple, compelling terms to business audiences at senior levels. Have excellent project management and organizational skills to navigate large organizations. Enjoy building relationships and preferably have industry relationships that you can leverage to get a head start on the job. Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the payments industry, including KYC, AML, and data protection laws across multiple jurisdictions. Ability to navigate compliance considerations in partnership agreements and implementations. Fluent communication skills in English. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, tech or related fields; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary based on location, experience and other qualifications for the role and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role.
