WHAT IS A RETAIL BANKING SUPERVISOR?

A Retail Banking Supervisor is an extensive role in which you will lead and coach our team of talented Customer Service staff in our Freeport, Forreston and Kent locations. This position is an extensive role in which someone with strong management, customer service and technological skills will succeed. They ensure top quality service is provided to our customers and monitor daily activities to ensure all transactions are conducted according to policy and procedure. The individual hired for this role will work between our Freeport and Forreston offices with occasional time spent in Kent as well.


HOW WILL A RETAIL BANKING SUPERVISOR SPEND THEIR TIME?

  • Managing and supporting Customer Service Specialists and Universal Bankers in all areas of their customer service duties
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, training and development to staff
  • Administer performance reviews and disciplinary action as needed
  • Provide support and assistance to customer service staff to resolve issues
  • Resolve escalated customer service issues and discuss customer and staff needs with senior management
  • Ensure efficient operations of branches including proper staffing and resources
  • Maintain an in-depth knowledge of retail consumer and business products and services and ensure staff is knowledgeable of said products
  • Perform customer service duties to lead by example and demonstrate teamwork
  • Implement departmental policies and procedures in conjunction with management
  • Represent Solutions Bank in community events to build relationships and maintaining a positive public image

WHAT HARD SKILLS MIGHT A RETAIL BANKING SUPERVISOR HAVE?

The hard skills that a Retail Banking Supervisor may possess include: Cash handling, Computer knowledge including Microsoft Office, basic accounting knowledge, knowledge of banking standards, knowledge of bank products and knowledge of Fiserv Precision.


WHAT ARE THE PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT OF THIS ROLE?

  • Office environment with moderate level of noise
  • Minimal lifting of up to 30 pounds
  • Frequent use of telephone, copier, computer, fax machine and other office machines
  • Prolonged sitting or standing
  • Frequent mental and visual concentration
  • Occasional travel for training, meetings and assisting other locations.
