Deposit Operations Director

at our

Plano, TX

location. The Deposit Operations Director manages and provides leadership to the deposit operations and payment operations teams. Leadership will encompass a wide range of operational responsibilities including wires, ACH, check processes, exception processing, legal processing, and quality assurance of deposit documents. This role participates in strategic planning aligning the goals with the Bank’s overall strategic plan. Responsibilities:

Lead and manage the Deposit Operations and Payment Operations teams, ensuring smooth and compliant day-to-day operations. Oversee the development and implementation of comprehensive risk mitigation strategies related to fraud prevention, data security, and operational resilience. Foster a high-performing team culture by providing leadership, mentorship, and development opportunities to the Deposit Operations staff and management team. Set performance goals, conduct regular mentoring and coaching, and implement training programs to enhance skills and knowledge. Continuously assess and improve operational processes and workflows to enhance efficiency, minimize errors, and optimize service delivery. Leverage data analytics and technology solutions to identify areas for automation and streamline operations. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Retail, IT, ERM, Compliance, and Treasury Management Operations to ensure alignment of Deposit Operations with broader organizational goals. Maintain an in-depth knowledge and understanding of all deposit and payments systems utilized by the Bank. Develop and perform risk assessments, self-assessments, and internal controls review of reporting areas. Education/Experience Preferred:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required. Ten years’ previous bank operations management experience required including, but not limited to ACH, Wires, debit and credit cards, exception processing, account and CIP review and legal processing. In-depth knowledge of deposit operations processes, procedures, laws, regulations, applications and methods including, but not limited to BSA, Reg CC, Reg E, NACHA Rules, Dodd Frank, UDAAP, and UCC. Ability to manage multiple geographic areas and teams. Excellent leadership and people development skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve results. Must be able to deal with ambiguity, effectively cope with change, and shift gears comfortably. Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Proven track record of strategic planning and execution, with a focus on driving business growth and operational excellence. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with experience in process improvement and risk management. Must be able to work flexible hours. Travel between department locations required. AAP preferred. Spanish bi-lingual preferred. Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location. Sunflower Bank Benefits:
