Qualifications

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a College or University 10 – 15 plus years of related banking experience Must have strong supervisory ability and computer skills including but not limited to Excel, Word, and PowerPoint applications Maintain an excellent understanding of applicable regulations and laws including but not limited to Deposit Operations and Electronic Banking Ability to oversee the organization and prioritization of work and projects in the department To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily Responsibilities

This Vice President role facilitates operational expertise across various products and functions including but not limited to deposit related services, online and mobile banking platforms, and the bank’s payment channels Responsible for planning, organizing, and executing on all operations responsibilities by providing administrative support to traditional banking lines of business (Commercial, Government finance and Retail) in conformance with Bank policies and procedures This is a key role in providing the strategic, developmental, and managerial direction to various department leaders that oversee; deposit operations, check processing, ACH/wires, and electronic banking This includes implementing scalable systems for growth by working cross-functionally, identifying efficiencies and streamlining processes, risk management and control of all operations functions, skill development, training, and overall direction of team Performs any functions necessary, within scope of authority and expertise, to provide the highest level of service and responsiveness to customers and the community in which it serves Acts as a major participant on implementation and execution of strategic planning items that support bank initiatives tied to deposit operations, electronic banking and cash management services Creates, implements, and monitors initiatives related to efficiencies within Deposit Operations and e-Banking departments with a focus on customer satisfaction Participates and leads in the development and implementation of new and improvement of existing products and services requiring utilization of strong organizational skills and leadership Participates in the development of short- and long-range strategy for the division Works as an effective partner across the organization and with business partners Works directly with other departments to ensure flow of work and information is appropriate and issues are resolved; utilizes a thorough understanding of technological, financial industry business issues, and their interrelationships in creating solutions for our staff and customers. Understands the urgency of matters related to commercial and business clients Oversight and implementation of risk factors to mitigate fraud across the electronic channel This includes but is not limited to wires, ACH products, bill pay, person to person transfer, remote deposit capture, debit card management, dispute and recovery Manages and oversees the activities of departmental staff across the Deposit Operations operational areas; Wire and ACH processing, and all Digital Banking/Digital Payments products and services such as Online Account Opening, Bill Pay, Mobile and Remote Deposit Capture, etc. Monitors workload and prioritizes projects to ensure tasks are completed timely and accurately Supports the team in delivering an exceptional experience for both internal and external customers Responsible for development and maintaining department procedures and resources to ensure efficient processes, exemplary service, and business continuity Analysis and resolution for all operational issues and establishes plans communicating changes and associated risks and controls Fosters development of team members through establishment of clear performance goals and providing constructive feedback Takes ownership of individual professional development by participating in internal/external trainings and professional development programs Promotes a culture of continuous improvement with discipline around end-to-end workflow/processes; participates and collaborates in the review and recommendation of operational systems and delivery channels, automates key processes where possible, working with business and technology partners Acts as the subject matter expert and maintains knowledge of all data processor's systems and related services Performs all duties in accordance with regulatory compliance guidelines and the bank's policies and procedures Uses established protocols and controls to ensure security and privacy is maintained at all times Ensures compliance with all institutional regulations as they relate to the effective operations of the organization (E.g. Reg CC, Reg E, Bank Secrecy Act, NEACH/Fed, etc.) and all other applicable policies, laws, and regulatory requirements Serves as a project leader with the implementation of all new banking products and services Oversees development, testing, and compliance of said products and services with applicable bank Policies and regulatory requirements Identifies and limits risk exposure posed by all new operational protocols Creates Bank policies to ensure consistency with state and federal regulations Identifies and mitigates operational risks associated with the Bank’s products and services through the implementation of controls and procedures Manages department’s audits and oversees the implementation of corrective action associated with audit and examination deficiencies as they pertain to operational functions Attends and participates in all applicable committee meetings as directed by Senior Management Presents to the Board of Directors on a periodic basis on a broad range of operational topics including but not limited to policy enhancements, service standards, benchmarks and metrics Utilizes effective communication skills to motivate the team to ensure daily operations are conducted efficiently and within customer focused standards Provides ongoing counsel, training, development and motivation to operations staff Participates in the hiring, salary, promotion and termination recommendation process Keeps abreast of regulatory compliance and developments and disseminates information to direct reports as necessary Performs related and unrelated duties as may be required Benefits
