Manager
to join the
Strategic Sourcing
division. This position will report to the Strategic Sourcing Sr. Director, and Head of SCA Sourcing; and will be responsible to lead the Sourcing efforts for the Global Information Systems & Communications Department (GISC), serving a wide spectrum of stakeholders and working with vendors of different types but mainly related to IT (Hardware, Software, Telecom, SaaS and Cloud services). This role will require the employee to work on-site in the Culver City office on an as needed basis. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Lead the Global Information Systems & Communications Department (GISC) strategic sourcing activities, RFQ processes & negotiations for all IT spend areas (Datacenter, Networks, Hardware, Software & SaaS, InfoSec, Staff Augmentation, and others). Support stakeholders with their sourcing needs utilizing a Strategic Sourcing process, including requirements gathering, market analysis, supplier selection and negotiation, and vendor management. Build strong partnerships and collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal stakeholders including Procurement, Legal, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, InfoSec, IT, and other affiliates in Sony, including affiliate Procurement groups. Facilitate legal review and risk management assessment processes to develop and execute contracts with terms and conditions favorable to stakeholders that meets Sony’s standards. Analyze contractual and pricing proposals from vendors and make recommendations to stakeholders. Build strategic relationships with key vendors and be proactive in managing the relationship to seek more savings and better contractual terms for Sony. Ensure that policies, systems, processes, and procedures are adhered to, to meet business objectives, operational needs, and internal controls compliance requirements. Maintain systematic, analytical, and results-based method for cost savings and ensure compliancy with Strategic Sourcing’s endorsed savings methodology. Ensure all initiatives are reflected accurately in Strategic Sourcing’s savings tracking tool and completed initiatives and validated with the correct savings methodology applied. Honesty, trustworthiness and ethical conduct are material requirements for the responsibilities outlined above. QUALIFICATIONS FOR POSITION Your qualifications and experience should include: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in IT Strategic sourcing and Procurement. Requires a bachelor’s degree in relevant field. Experience working for global organizations (preferably Fortune 500). Experience with SAP SRM & Ariba is preferred. Proven track record of utilizing a traditional Strategic Sourcing process (7 step) to meet business requirements with vendors. Successful outcomes in negotiating with vendors, both in a competitive (RFx) and direct-negotiation environment. Must have strong proficiency with Microsoft Suite, expert in PowerPoint. Ability to travel internationally and domestically (combined up to 15%). Strong verbal communication and written skills. Interpersonal, analytical & negotiation skills. Excellent problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Adaptable and willing to work in a changing environment where continual process improvement is expected. Excellent organizational skills. Superior attention to detail. Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, and in both independent and collaborative environments.
