Job Title: SOJ25 – Intel Exercise/Engagement Planner, SOCPAC CSP Location: Camp Smith, HI - Camp Smith, HI 96861 US (Primary) Category: Contractors Summary: The Unconventional (TU) is seeking a qualified SOJ25 – Intel Exercise/Engagement Planner to support the United States Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) with intelligence analysis of unclassified and classified information on enemy and partner forces to support planning and operational intelligence requirements to Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD), Counterterrorism, Counter-Proliferation, Global Near-Peer actors, and SOCPAC Command priorities. Support will be provided to United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in Intelligence Planning/Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Operational Environment (JIPOE)/Intelligence Preparation of the Battlefield (IPB) to ensure a free and open Indo-Pacific alongside a constellation of like-minded allies and partners, united by mutual security, interests, and values to deter adversary aggression and protect the homeland. Specific duties may include, but are not limited to: Exercise - Support Exercise Planning and Coordination to include intel training objective and scenario development. Provide intel support to exercise planning conferences. Be fully integrated in the command and provide exercise intel expertise to the command. Synchronize and coordinate with SOJ3, SOJ7, subordinate units, and external manning requirements for exercise support. Plan, coordinate, and execute SOCPAC and component intelligence participation in assigned USINDOPACOM, JCS, and Service exercises. Coordinate and manage exercise development in conjunction with USINDOPACOM and component planner and participants. Develop training objectives that meet SOCPAC SOJ2 JMETL requirements. Ensure SOCPAC and component exercises inform the Defense Readiness Reporting System and fully incorporate the Joint Lessons Learned system. Develop training objectives in conjunction with exercise participants and SOCPAC SOJ2 stakeholders. Assist in the coordination with exercise participants and supporters from other DoD and non-DoD organizations. Draft and develop realistic threat scenarios, incorporating best-practice inputs from DoD and other agencies. Coordinate exercise criteria to test and stress the command’s intelligence and training objectives. Consolidate and draft AAR related to training objectives, corrections, and COA development. Engagement - Support Engagement Planning and analysis to include engagement strategy development, strategic implementation, engagement event planning, and administrative planning support for international engagements. Provide country expertise, priority, and engagement objectives. Synchronize and coordinate with SOJ52, SOJ3, and other external units. Develop, synchronize, execute, and track SOCPAC’s capacity building, multinational engagements, including but not limited to subject matter expert exchanges (SMEE) and key leader engagements (KLE). Conduct all-source research and assessments on countries in the Indo-Pacific to identify challenges in achieving objectives and develop recommendations in conjunction with SOCPAC Intelligence SMEEs to overcome identified challenges. Develop talking points and information papers to support COMSOCPAC and SOCPAC SOJ2 KLEs with senior U.S. / foreign military / civilian leaders. Required Qualifications: Current DoD Top Secret clearance and eligible for SCI access. Familiarity with civil-military operations, humanitarian assistance / disaster response, and peacekeeping operations. Desired Qualifications: Experience providing intel support to SOF units/commands.
