The Sr. Project Controls Manager reports to the Program Controls Director and is responsible for financial compliance. The ideal candidate is someone meticulous about perfection and quality of work, with a keen understanding of cost forecasting and reporting. They should have experience working for a contractor (general or subcontractor), which will help in understanding, leading, and finding solutions to complex accounting matters. The Sr. Project Controls Manager bears the primary responsibility for tracking and forecasting all assigned project budgets and costs, ensuring compliance with contract terms and applicable procedures regarding authorizing documents and pay applications. They shall lead cost forecasting and risk analysis sessions with members of the design team and the contractor. The role includes overseeing various projects and requires 4 days in the office in Los Angeles.
Key Job Duties Coordinate and manage financial audits and provide documentation to auditors. Monitor project team compliance with all required Prolog processes and procedures and ensure Prolog records are up to date. Maintain all information required to provide internal, Steering Committee, and periodic reports as required. Maintain Budgets Ensure implementation of assigned projects aligns with the approved budget. Maintain individual project budgets. Ensure compliance of project teams with their budgets, including continuous evaluation and controlling of costs against budgets. Manage risk and issues. Control Costs Ensure payments are made in line with contracts, including payments to designers, contractors, and all other parties. Set up, maintain, and review all financial processes and report a monthly financial summary of the program cash flows. Manage Changes Ensure compliance with Change Advisory Board processes and maintain documentation of all CAB items. Ensure standardization and compliance with change management procedures. Enforce Change Advisory Board processes to prevent unauthorized changes that could negatively impact the cost of the Program. Manage Risks Manage risks of the Program and ensure all risk mitigation processes are aligned and implemented. Maintain risk registers in coordination with project teams and the Risk Manager as needed. Identify potential change order requests and process them in accordance with Change Advisory Board procedures. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Aviation, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, or other related technical field required. Twenty (20) years or more experience, preferably on airport projects. Experience managing a team of project controls staff. Experience with projects valued over $50 million. Experience with various delivery methods, including Design-Bid-Build, Design+CMAR, and Design/Build. Proven ability to perform in a management capacity. Excellent written and oral communication skills and thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations. Self-starter attitude with proactive, results-oriented focus; capable of assuming additional responsibilities. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Master's degree preferred. Optional certifications may include AAAE, LEED, PE, PMP, AICP, etc.

Salary Salary range for this position is $165,000 - $210,000. The starting salary will be commensurate with skill, education, experience, and working environment.

Physical Demands Ability to sit/stand for up to 8 hours per day. Ability to move freely for up to 8 hours per day.
