We are offering a contract for a Financial Analyst role in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in Long Beach, California. As a Financial Analyst, you will play a crucial role in enhancing strategic decision-making by providing critical insights and recommendations through rigorous data analysis. Your responsibilities will include managing the full life cycle of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects and collaborating with regional teams to evaluate capital investment opportunities and optimize financial performance.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with regional teams to evaluate capital investment opportunities and optimize financial performance
• Manage the complete life cycle of Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) projects, ensuring adherence to the company's capital policy
• Support the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager in the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
• Leverage internal and external data for benchmarking and modeling to support strategic goals
• Maintain, prepare, and publish existing dashboards and financial planning & analysis reporting tools
• Review and create CAPEX projects, ensuring necessary approvals are obtained
• Track division Capital Improvement Plan (CIP) accounts and collaborate with the Central Accounting Group to ensure timely project closure and asset creation
• Perform routine General Ledger reviews & Journal Entries to ensure all Capital Expenditure costs are capitalized as needed
• Utilize data warehouse reporting tools such as SAP, Business Warehouse (BW), and Power BI to support the division’s efforts to improve data utilization
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the division and regional teams• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is required.
• Experience with ADP - Financial Services is essential.
• Must be adept in using CRM systems.
• Knowledge of Crystal Reports is necessary.
• Familiarity with Data Mining Techniques is crucial.
• Ability to handle Accounting Functions is needed.
• Understanding of Accrual Accounting is mandatory.
• Auditing skills are of high importance.
• Experience with Budget Processes is expected.
• Knowledge of Capital Management is crucial.
• Proficiency in SAP is a must.
• Familiarity with Power Business Intelligence is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI is essential.
