RBR-Technologies is seeking a Database Analyst to support our DCSA customer in the Washington Metropolitan Area
RESPONSIBILITIES
Our specific work, which revolves around technology modernization for Industrial security, is an ongoing effort to add an analytic capability for industry partners and Government analysts that collects, stores, automates and centralizes information supporting risk analysis for entities in the Defense Industrial Base (DIB). The candidate will support DCSA Industrial Security technology modernization by participating as part of a team delivering data analytic services that will integrate with existing web application development to enhance and extract data reporting insights from specific commercial and government data.
As part of the RBR PM NISS Team, the Database Analyst will have the primary role in assisting and supporting qualitative data reporting, source data automation, and related program schedule and contract commitments. Within this role, the Database Analyst will be responsible for collaborating with an integrated development team in effort to assist the technical deliverables that make up the development schedule. Additional duties will include: active participation in team design discussions, gathering and analyzing user requirements, authoring technical documentation, and researching technical approaches to develop and deliver optimal operation solutions.
Responsibilities include:
- Collaborative engagement and Data Analytics support provided to multiple program stakeholders in effort to deliver team status reporting, metrics, and related PMO Support.
- Contribute to the program's Data acquisition strategy using available tools in support of the DCSA mission.
- Provide team recommendations for activities related to Business Process Re-Engineering, Process Mapping, Metrics Development, Metrics Analysis, and Dashboard Development.
- Draft written and graphical content in support of Data Governance SOP's and associated business documentation designed for internal and external process partners.
- Provide Data Analysis for large volumes of data and with disparate file formats to include data transformation, data enrichment, and related data management activities.
- Apply compliance controls to automation processes within applicable regulatory guidance.
- Monitor progress of data sets as they progress and move through automation processes.
- Efficiently work toward goals in a complex, diverse environment with multiple constraints.
- Participate in the design and development of team planning that enable solutions within cloud environments to include new or modifications to applications, forms, workflow, policies, actions, access control, interfaces, and any other configurations required to support client needs.
- Foster a good working relationship with teammates, subcontractor partners, vendors, and stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS
- Active Secret clearance
- 4 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree OR 8 years of experience without a Bachelor's Degree
- CompTIA Security +, DataSys+, Data+
- Solid understanding of commercial enterprise platform solutions (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud).
- Solid understanding of SQL based databases with preference to Postgres.
- Basic understanding of Elasticsearch.
- Knowledge and understanding of agile software development methodologies and tools.
- Experience with various Microsoft technologies such as MS Office 2016+ (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint).
- Demonstrated ability to work with limited supervision.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
PREFERRED QULIFICATIONS
- Agile Scrum/Kanban principles.
- KM Platforms (SharePoint, MS Teams, Wiki tools) experience.
- Understanding of DoD cybersecurity requirements for IT systems and cloud-based platforms.
- Experience with Software Development Projects.
- Experience with AWS GovCloud, containerization, and container orchestration.
