Financial Analyst
We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join an innovative start-up medical device manufacturing company. This position will partner with the business stakeholders to ensure its smooth operation, adaptability to evolving needs, and alignment with business objectives. This person will be involved in data analysis, budgeting, developing financial models, Sales reporting, and ad hoc reporting.
This role will be onsite (San Jose, CA) and will report to the VP Finance.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Dynamic understanding of business processes in Finance, Manufacturing and Sales.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis, including forecasting, budgeting, and Sales analysis to support business decision-making and long-term planning.
• Develops comprehensive financial models using advanced Excel skills to synthesize data from multiple sources/systems.
• Evaluates financial and operational results to provide monthly reporting and financial insights to various stakeholders on profitability, risks and opportunities.
• Develop financial models and scenario analyses to guide pricing and cost management decisions.
• Build and maintain KPI dashboards to provide real-time visibility into financial and performance metrics.
• Support departments by customization of data for basic reporting tasks and data analysis to assist in decision-making.
• Support the team in creating reports for sales performance analysis.
• Utilize dashboards to enable visualization of key metrics and trends.
• Works cross-functionally to identify business challenges and problem-solve.
• Additional ad hoc requests as needed
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance is required, advanced certifications are preferred
• 5-7 years of Financial and Sales Analysis and NetSuite experience within a startup environment.
• Initiative-taker with excellent interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills and comfortable dealing with ambiguity.
• Expert user in Excel and Microsoft Office products including macros
• Experience in building various Sales and Financial models
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to communicate technical concepts understandably and concisely.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member, in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment
• Good business acumen and an interest in building up business understanding to help connect business needs and challenges to the right technical solutions.
• Excellent communication skills with follow-up
