Job Summary: Sevan is seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics D365 Finance/SCM Business Analyst to directly interface with business leaders with responsibilities for Requirements Gathering, Test Plan Development, Systems Documentation, Project Planning, and Client/End-User Engagement. This role reports to the Director of Business Solutions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following statements.
- Design business solutions and process requirements for all IT-related business, financial, and operations systems critical to core organizational functions. This includes researching and analyzing data in support of business functions, process knowledge, and systems requirements.
- Gather and analyze data in support of business cases, proposed projects, and systems improvements.
- Validate business/systems processes through careful testing to maximize the benefit of business investments in IT initiatives. This will include writing test plans and scripts for various information systems and business applications/processes.
- Review business needs, researching potential solutions and providing solid process and technical recommendations
- Business process consulting
- Gathering/Developing functional design specifications
- Execute testing, use-case scripts
- Perform gap analysis
- Design program specific reports and queries for clients
- Perform and/or manage conference room pilots
- Perform staff & user training
- Write user documentation
- Communicate project status with the customer and Sevan management

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Associate’s/ Bachelor’s/ degree from two-year or four-year College or University and four years of experience as a Business Analyst, Solutions Architect or Functional Consultant
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance/SCM, or Microsoft Dynamics AX is required.
- Microsoft D365 implementation and integrations preferred
- Business analysis and process engineering skills a plus
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills to interview individuals and teams about their needs, negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts and to coordinate and communicate information effectively to project users and management.
- Able to critically evaluate and integrate information gathered from multiple sources to prioritize and summarize true needs at appropriate levels of detail.
- Observational skills to validate data obtained via other techniques and expose new areas for discovery.
- Able to manage multiple deadlines in a timely manner, prioritize projects and provide status reports.
- Able to coordinate with business & technology teams to ensure projects meet schedules.
- Excellent communication, planning, and organization skills
- Ability to communicate technical aspects to non-technical shareholders.
- High level of initiative and accountability for deliverables and deadlines
- Logical thinking skills and methodical approach to work
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Viso, and report writing software
Computer Skills:
- Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools.
- Solid experience in Power-Bi & Power Automate.
- Experience in D365, ERP Systems, CRM Systems, Windows 11 and Active Directory, Microsoft Azure.
Work Conditions and Travel:
This is a hybrid role out of our Downers Grove, IL headquarters. A highly collaborative in-office environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives. The workplace is dynamic, fast-paced, and flexible. Regularly required to sit; occasionally required to stand; walk; occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds; noise level is usually quiet. Travel on an as needed basis (0-10%).
